Saw this on the FB Group Boss GT 1000-Boss GT 1000Core. The FC-200 is discontinued, replaced by FC-300.

That’s a good idea. I’ve connected the GTCore via USB and been using the reamping feature, so would be easy enough to record some pink noise and reamp it through the unit. I’ve just been turned on to this frequency analyser plugin, so might be worth checking it out.
Hey there, dredging up this old post ;) How did you reamp using the GT 1000 Core in Logic Pro? I'm trying to transition from GarageBand, and I have no idea how to translate the instructions I'm seeing online into Logic.

For some reason, I couldn't get Logic to record or reamp channels 5/6.

The 6 channels are:

Channel 1/2: Main out
Channel 3/4: Dry sound with no effects
Channel 5/6: Sub out

Set up the USB settings with Direct Monitoring set to On.

Set up the Inputs and Outputs. These are recording a mono track.

Or change the channel mode to stereo 1/2

Arm Tracks 1 and 2 and record.

Delete the audio out of Track 1, Arm Track 1 and click record to reamp 3/4

Thanks! I was using the external headphones of the Mac as the output for Logic. After working through the setup, I realized that config prevented it from reamping.

It's kind of a PITA though. ;) Useful in a pinch, so I'll keep the instructions handy. But I'll likely use plug-ins or just record directly with the GT.

Something that's not documented about USB Reamping for Channels 5/6

SEND1 and SEND2 have to be set to SUB OUT

And the SUB OUT LEVEL I've set to 8

Another configuration that I like. The switcher is the Boss ES8. I’m assuming the switcher is going into a GTCore effects loop. Also MIDI capable.

I love how the ES-8 can tuck underneath the back half of the board, and I wish I'd built my board like that. There may come a day when I build a new one but it's gonna be a while until then as I am very satisfied with my current build.

Back on the FB Group Boss GT 1000-Boss GT 1000Core and this popped up. That pedal is the BOSS EV-1-WL, which is a MIDI control pedal, connected to the GTCore using a BCC-1-3535 TRS MIDI cable. I'm not up on the play on MIDI, but apparently you can assign it for volume, expression, and other parameters.

Well someone bought my GTK core so out of the club, it's just not what I need for the current project. Think once I've replaced a few bits and financials calm a little i'll be grabbing another unless they bring out a GX core or something in that time.

Already miss playing with the signal routing and all the parallel stuff but at least I'm playing more bass instead

I too want a GX core, I just hope they leave at least 4 buttons and not just 3

Oh man, the GTK is a very powerful upgrade from the CORE. If, like me, you are just using the CORE with external FS’s, I highly recommend stepping up to the GTK. I see the beauty of the CORE if you are incorporating other FX pedals, but the GTK has so many features that make it an amazing stand alone. I just got mine two days ago, and I will update the tricks I’m finding here, if anyone is interested.

Truth, the full GT-1000 is still absolutely worth the extra money.
