I don't believe that b-stock exists for Canadian models. At one point the shop actually burned bodies that weren't up to spec.

I think page 1500 is a good place for a picture of my bass.

Well that’s kind of a tease.
So is this the teaser pic page?

I’m assuming the same. I think in the Canadian made Dingwall world B stock means extra strings in the drawer.

  8. Outstanding - thanks for the easy solution.

What kind of glue is recommended for this? Maybe I'll just do it myself.

Hey @djaxup , a few weeks back i had the same "issue" with my NG3. Also wrote with Sheldon a bit about it in here.
I fixed it myself with some glue and a tiny toothpick.
As a glue i used some strong cyanacrylat super glue.
A piece of the toothpick next to the insert so it gets tight in the hole (even had to hammer it in carefully).
Just make sure you let it cure for a good time before trying your luck with screwing the pickup back in again.

    Greetings!

  10. Thanks @Salciniclas
I have some high quality cyanacrylat used for dental stuff. I was under the impression that cyanacrylat has issues with vibrations. It dries fast and gets rock hard, but can easily break.

Just go for it @djaxup. You can also use some of the good old "Uhu-Kraftkleber"....but then you'll have to wait longer for it to cure.
But I understand your worries....I always overthink such tasks since I studied materialstuff.

It will hold. Make sure it goes in there tight again. I had to use a small hammer to show this thing its place again :D

    NBD!

I'm getting my first Dingwall in a few hours, it's waiting at a UPS access point. First as in... I'm afraid there will need to be a second.

It's "only" a Combustion in natural finish, and the patterns on the ash are kind of average looking (the back is frustratingly better looking), but I'm excited nonetheless. I missed one of the "new" blackburst/quilted maple top combustion by a mere 12 hours, but this one was a tad cheaper so not too many regrets. Here are a few pictures from the seller... "live" ones will follow.

    Dingwall Combustion 5 b. Dingwall Combustion 5 a.
    Dingwall Combustion 5 c.

What will also follow is a few questions on mods - series vs parallel, 6-way switch, and also a request advice on a few other dingwalls that are for sale locally (I'm in Europe) i.e. which ones would you consider "good buys"...

    Cheers :)

Congratulations, brother! I love the simple beauty of a natural finish.

  17. Honestly? I'd advice you to join the sale group on Facebook. There are great deals to be had, there. I bought my bass (pictured in avatar) used from the UK. There are a lot of great Canadian Dingwalls on the market in Europe - probably a lot thanks to Bass Direct.

I actually *know* of a few specific basses available near me at what seems to be reasonable prices, and will want advice from you guys. More on that later.
