Bored Drummer/Bassist/Guitarist Available for Shows (Hudson)

Ahoy -

I play drums (expert), bass (expert), guitar (electric, acoustic and 12-string - middlin' to expert), sing lead and backup (baritone/low tenor) and play middlin' rock keyboards...

And I'm bored, and I'm looking for gigs. I learn *very* quickly, and have free time during the day to do homework and learn material. I'm 46 and have been around the block a time or two, have decent gear and reliable transportation. I'm very comfortable in most rock styles (with leanings toward jazz and prog). Improvisation, vamping and extemporisation are no problem either.

I'm looking for the usual sub gigs, and would also be open to backing up solo acts (vocal/guitar, etc.) on a regular basis. Anything that doesn't require too much rehearsal.

I'm afraid I've been at this too long to give my time away for nothing, but I'll work *very* cheap as long as the work is fun. And I have a pretty wide definition of "fun." :) Perfectly normal music is fine, and perfectly strange is fine, too.

I must confess, this does look like a sweet deal to me. It looks like one of those mint-condition heavily stickered limited edition Aria Pro II's - man are they hard to come by! And I've seen 'em go for up to $25, so I could make a killing here, even if it isn't perfect.

But I am worried about the broken jawn, though. It might be tough to source an original Aria jawn in good condition. Maybe I'd need to think hard about a completely new set of jawns? But a complete re-jawning might be a little too much for me to handle, and might effect the tone. What do you think? Anyone know of a really good re-jawnist? I heard Jaco once used a jawnless bass - can anyone confirm?

And what's the best jawn for metal anyway?
