What's dumb about this one besides the price?

IIRC these are about that new, but locally I haven't seen a good used one for less than $125-150. Some people like those decals, although for me it's a negative.

They are EXACTLY that price new and the headstock does not look like a USA Fender, because it still has the truss access. He's deliberately misleading with his title, too.

As a person who would sand off a Fender decal and put on a vintage Squier Bullet 1 decal, given the option, I would require him to drop the price to no more than $50 to make up for the obvious lack of the proper decal. Why would anybody want a fake Fender when you could have a fake Squier Bullet 1, complete with the star and everything. I agree, that's a really dumb ad by a really dumb person.

That's low. A local shop in Nanaimo, BC is asking over $40,000 for a 62.

True story - a few months ago, our GC had a verified one-owner 63 Fender Jazz w/all orig. case & candy, everything but the strings exactly as it left the factory. It literally sat in a closet for 25 years. GC bought it for $5K and sold it for $6.5K, and some people bitched that it was too expensive.

I seriously considered a bank loan for it.

I always wanted a birth-year Fender. And that's my birth year. That's a good price. I've seen mostly 5 digits when I look for '63 Ps or Js.
