What the heck are you talking about?I saw a salesman playing Guitar on a Twin Reverb, I asked him if the Twin Reverb has an alternator. He was very puzzled, cocked his head at the amp, but I didn't tell him what it is. LOL

I haven’t been here in like two years and I love that people are still referencing that thread.

I don't doubt your history or skill, but the turbo encabulator is still deliberately generated meaningless technobabble.I could write a book about it, complete with a sales pitch to my former boss who was then a Project Manager.
Here's the kicker, we won the bid, but then I went on to work for a different company on the same project where those items were used.
I was able to look right at the items I'd successfully sold my former boss & see them in action.
It is on a mountain in Udorn-Thani province in Thailand, probably the most remote place I've worked on land.
This may be the most brilliant series of responses ever. But I just can't tell. The Rockwell one was so close, but slipped in too many nonsense words.
I went to a group seminar in Phuket for the Asia-Pacific region & we got to listen to lectures like that all day, about how they were improving the products.
The upside was we got to eat & drink for free, including alcohol in the evening.
The thing I remember most was that their differential pressure plates had FOUR holes in them to get more accurate measurements.
Apparently the industry-standard prior that that was one big hole, LOL!

if the guy was actually dumb, good for him for finding a job he can hold onto and poor for those who make fun of him for something he can't control - insulting those who we perceive as lesser or weaker than themselves makes me deeply sad.
if he wasn't dumb and simply didn't get your joke due to lack of information (not a sign of dumbness - we all have things we don't know) or because he was trying to be nice to the customer (you), also not so great to make fun of him.
Always interesting when people can't tell they're the butt of the joke (think about it, OP).
Can we petition for a separate forum for GC bashers and put it out in the distance, away from "humor" and "miscellaneous"? Or maybe treat it the way we treat "ugly bass" threads? I'm normally against censorship and suppression, but if any topic has run its course long ago and provides absolutely nothing of value, this has got to be it.

Someone link it please. I need further reading after this. Also, can someone fill me in on the joke? Is it a play on the word attenuator? Or something else? Either way, it's gone completely over my head and, as one can see, it's caused quite the uproar here. That thread was epic.
