I’ll actually be playing my first clothing optional gig in a couple weeks. It happens to be a band I’m subbing in, playing electric bass for the tuba/sousaphone player…. Now I think I know why he asked for a sub.

We did get offers to play strip Clubs. Never took them up on it tho.

Got hooked up to sub for an old friend's husband for a gig. Looking forward to it. Guy is a good writer with a following, not really in my genre but I'm flexible. Not sure what the pay is like but probably fine, and it's not super important.

Turns out the gig is at a clothing optional resort. Oh my.

Still doing it, perhaps making a weekend of it with my wife.

No, but I expect they would say for me that clothing wasn't optional .

In April of 1984 I attended a Black Flag show in Harrisburg PA. The opening band were clothing optional. (No, it wasn't RHCP.)

Never played one of those places but did a couple of biker events with nude women on stage.

I went to a Hawkwind gig and the support band did Hawkwind-style originals but with the nude dancing added in. They were more Hawkwind than Hawkwind in many ways.

I can say from experience of doing a nude sauna, when everyone is naked it's far less stressful. I bet, if the people there are cool, it could be a really carefree, fun gig. Heck of a story either way.
