G&L Club Part 7

Heads-up: I will be posting my El Toro and Interceptor basses in the classifieds Europe and International section in a few days, as soon as I take photos. I recently came by a 2014 USA Jaguar Bass that seems to fit my needs better. Besides, there's a 1966 Jazz that I need to raise the funds for. Inquiries by PM.

Here's my new L2000 custom order I got a few weeks ago. Props to Greg @RocketMusic!

Specs:
  • Maple/alder in ruby red metallic
  • Quartersawn Jazz neck, no inlays, logo delete
  • Graphtech nut
  • Single coil wiring

View attachment 3284311 I've enjoyed my LB-100 so much the last few monthes, i've been on the lookout for a US JB-2.
I found one online, at GC, so of course it's a crapshoot whether it will be a keeper.
It doesn't have the original COA paperwork,so I don't know what neck i'm getting, either.
The best thing i can say about buying this way is GC has a great no questions return policy.
It should get here next week. It's a sunburst with a rosewood/dot fretboard, exactly what i prefer.
This pic is not of the bass i'm getting, but the same color combo.
I have the exact same bass (they called it brown burst). I love the not-so-offset body. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine.

Wow, that's stunning! I wouldn't have thought to go with the blocked maple fingerboard on a blackburst, let alone bound with the matching headstock. Well done! Really! :woot:

I've had it just about a year and a half, it's still my number 1 despite picking up a couple others last year including a new Stingray Special. The L2K is Empress and right around 8lbs (I haven't actually weighed it but it's LIGHT). I like it so much, I have a trade lined up for another L2K, an older one.

I haven't posted here in a while but I'm back up to three G&Ls again with a newly acquired used JB-2 fretless. It sounds great, decent weight (much lighter than the JB but not as light as the empress LB100) and the neck is lovely. It's been a while since I had a fretless and I'd forgotten how much fun they are (need to practice though...). :):hyper:

Not the best family shot but it will do for now
