Saw a local CL listing for a Kustom 200 head in blue sparkle tuck and roll for $350.

I had a black one, IMHO $100 would be about 50 too much if you want to actually play it. They do look cool though.

Heh, the box would weigh at least 20 times what the Elf does.

I sold my Kustom 200 to my nephew for a hundred bucks back around 1980, with one dead channel not readily repairable due to an obsolete IC. He gigged with it for a few decades and then loaned it to someone who was still gigging with it a year or two ago. $350 with a matching 215 cab loaded with JBLs or something similar would be about right, IME. But what passes for the vintage market tries to take us places I'm defintely never going to.

The thrill of a Kustom is an age that passed. Apparently the Kustom KBX500 was a pretty desirable piece of kit, and now that thrill is gone.

I don't remember if I posted this b4, but it's our band with a friend sitting in on sax. I'm playing through my "practice amp" on the last day I took it outta the house-it won't even fit in my new gigmobile!

Normally the 4 of us are crammed into a space in front of the drums plus we all sing and the mics don't move so neither do we. Which means that we have no idea what to do with ourselves in that much space.

The guitar playing is quite good (shame about the former J. T. K.'s "voice").

Try wearing a cape. That always goes good with crowds.

Each guitar player and the sax gets a solo. No respect for the rhythm section. No bass solo, not even that old standard “tuning”.

I was expected to do a han solo in most Rare Blend stuff when we gigged. I was alway much more comfortable just being in the rhythm section, although as you may have noted , most of my basslines could have qualified as solos, sort of.
