Jule Amps Monique part 5

I like the song. Well crafted, produced, and mixed.

The dogs make the video, nice touch.

Yeah, it's a toss up as to if Koa is the star or if my wife makes it. ;)

Musically, the song is a riddim of mine and has her lyrics grafted to it. We did a rearrangement/edit of the song for recording to get it down to 'single' length...live it tends to be in the 5-6 minute range.

Love it! What a great song, tone, video, bass, your invisible dreads.....

We've got dreads in the band. I don't need no stinkin' dreads. (literally)... ;)

Video making is so weird. Such an unnatural construct, but we tried to keep things true to form. That is the actual studio that we recorded in, and the engineer is our actual producer...although he's cracking up because he totally didn't want to do the 'at the board fake slider' moves.

Anyone who wants to hear the full album at no financial risk can stream it on our website:

It's also available through the usual sources online (Spotify, Apple, Google, Amazon). And we're slowly radiusing outward from NYS to other areas.

I bought a copy of the album on iTunes. Enjoy your micro cents. :)

Ya, good stuff, Bill!

Thanks Jimmy, you're probably bombarded with it from my feed on FB. I'm sort of stunned at the reaction on the video. 29K reached, 10k views, 137 shares in 24 hours, nearly all of it organic. The production cost of the vid (not including the album cost) was not insubstantial but not awful either.

That's pretty darn good for first day.

Sounds great! I'm buying it too.

Thanks! Let me know what you think. I appreciate it.

Hopefully back in the studio late spring/summer for another round. This one is 13 songs and we have 11 new ones with 4 more being worked on. A few have tried to convince us to split recordings into EP's or shorten albums and do multiple releases but I think we like giving people more songs for the same price.

Can't seem to get into I tunes on my phone at work. Will have to do it from home later. That first tune is great and the bass tone is spot on.

Great tune, great video (natural in it's presentation) (where did you get the handsome/beautiful actors?)(is that a stunt double playing the rack Monique?)
The lyrics are spot on and nurturing in these days!

I'm pretty sure people are convinced I had to hire a hot actress to play my wife. ;) Or as our local fans know her 'the merch girl'.

My stunt double did a good job on the 'live in the studio' part. And yes, we were all plugged in, powered up and actually playing (albeit quietly and with the studio track on monitors to sync). Unfortunately, no good close ups of my Mo' or amp setup. Although I got some heat for suggesting I'd take my bass outta the house without a case!

Great video! Be glad the family's so photogenic--videos are right out for some of us. :bag: Actually, in our case Monique would get all the attention she deserves! :D

Ah, good for Jule then! Our guitarist/2nd vocalist (yoga boy in the video) is the officially recognized 'heartthrob' of the band. That came up in an article once and he's hated it ever since. ;) Luckily a few of the members have a bit of charisma too.
