Ehque, you have no idea how encouraging that one pic is to me.

But for those just joining the thread, we celebrate a 6-string fretless here, a Vinny, dwelling in Singapore. Congrats. Seriously, given you waited 22+ months.

I have a fretless 5 somewhere coming down the road, in straight-on ash, and your axe is quite the encouragement. Sound tracks when you are ready, please, or even videos...

p.s. Can you please explain those two toggle switches, even if you have already? (sorry, if so).

The electronics are slightly different from what i ordered, since Joe had a hard time getting everything to fit. I ordered series-parallel switches and another switch for the mid freqs (250-500-800). Joe moved the mid switch to a push pull under the mid knob (250-800) and installed series-singlecoil-parallel switches instead. I'm ok with both changes, since i never really use the mid switch in the 500hz position anyways, and the single-coil option might prove useful on a fretless.

It`s been a long wait but I guess was worthy.

You got one of a kind instrument for sure and looks
simply beautiful. Post some clips if you have the chance.

Thanks! Aesthetics was not on the top consideration for this bass, as I prioritised function (size, weight, tone and versatility) over looks. That being said, though, Zon used a really nice piece of swamp ash for this body, like he did with my last (natural gloss) Zon, and the whole utilitarian look is what I usually go for anyway.

BTW: The bass is not here yet, it is en route. Zon sent the picture.
