My pre amp is by EMG. The b64eq to be exact. It's just the wiring is not at all correct according to the diagrams and I noticed that the volume and balance pot were not EMG.

That's good to know. Yes - I have the Custom 4. I looked in the cavity but couldn't make anything out except for circuit boards attached to the treble and bass pots. When I get more time I'll actually take them out to see if there is a switch on the treble.

Schecter Diamond Series Model-T 5 Exotic in Natural Satin colour, black Limba body, roasted maple neck with ebony fretboard
P style neck pickup and J style stacked humbucker bridge pickup with push / pull coil split for single coil sound
One volume for each pickup and one tone control for both.
Passive bass with a 35” scale so the low B is perfectly tensioned without flapping
Abalone inlays

Wow another Schecter, Dingwall, Sire guy...and a grainger too? Quite the dope collection you have there sir!

I played a Stiletto Studio 5 recently and was very impressed with the B string so I bet this thing kills as well. How does it compare to your other 5's? Owning two Dingwalls myself i felt a little crazy gassin' for a Schecter but these are so under-rated and always feel good when I pick one up I'm gonna have to give in eventually.

Different from the Dingwalls, not in a bad way but the low B clarity of a Dinger is difficult to match, even those Ibanez fan fretted can only dream of being any close, however this particular Schecter has a very comfortable slim neck and a joy to play fretboard, the fretwork is top quality, the edge of the board nice and smooth, which was what attracted me to this one, I tried a 4 strings in a store, the 5 was not in stock but the moment I left that store I sat in the car and phoned another dealer that had it in stock and bought it, click & collect. Happy days

Very nice! Good move, I still kinda kick myself for not buying the one I played since it was so cheap but you got me thinking about the T5 now. Gotta find one to test out.

And that is a very, very nice collection! OMG that DROC is one sexy beast. It looks so perfect with that FB and the speedos! Bravo on that custom!

Has Schecter ever made a Stiletto model with a bound ebony board? Was at a music store out of town and played a used one they had lying around, but all the Stiletto's I see online have rosewood. It also had passive EMGs, gold hardware and natural finish.

Could've sworn it had ebony... Does Schecter dye their boards?

The BlackJack ATX would probably be the nearest thing. This is the “C” shape body(Omen,etc.)not the Stiletto. I sold a 5 string version on Reverb not long ago. Had a cream/white 4 string up for sale for awhile, nobody seemed interested. Pulled the listing as have been virtually giving Schecter’s away lately. Nice Basses, Mahogany, set neck construction. A little over 7 pounds for a 4 string.

schecter often makes prototypes and one offs that sell through drum city guitar land and other retailers. there are no records of these on schecters site or anywhere online. the stilleto has been around for so long that i would not be surprised to find examples with a spec i’ve never seen before.

Nope, regarding Stilettos ever with ebony or binding. The bass was probably labeled wrong, or someone put the wrong truss cover on. Also, not sure if Schecter dyes their boards, but many companies do. What you saw, was probably just really dark rosewood.

no gold hardware and natural finish but the sam bettley stilleto does have a bound ebony fretboard

the old schecter elites with the quilted tops had very dark fretboards that looked like ebony but were probably stained rosewood
