Wish I had known you were gonna be at the show. I drove down from Tulsa early this morning. I had 3 USA Spector's at Drews Vintage Guitars for sale. Brought a Coda 4, Coda 5 and on of the Limited Edition Walnut NS2's with the Badass bridges there. Serial #1.

Crap. Yeah would've been cool to meet up. I did see an NS JAR as well as a Euro 5lx. Wish I could've checked out those basses. I ended up not getting anything but it was a fun time. We are going to try to hit NAMM in Nashville in July I think.

well im maybe looking into an avatar cab and possibly a gk head in the future. avatar's b410 neo cab starts at $589. that's pretty good and their cabs are awesome! the head will be either a gk micro or ampeg pf. i heard bad things about the ampeg heads. so that's probably not good :(

What bad things??? :eyebrow: I have a 1968 Ampeg B-15T Fliptop for 3 years and its a workhorse! And it's LOUD! Haha
For a year now I also use a PF-500 with Ampeg 410/810 cabs and not a lick of troubles. :D There's bad in every brand. Haha I'm sold on Ampeg equipment.

yeah we get lucky here in orlando. There's a lot of entertainment here and everything is ground floor. Ramps at all the venues too so hauling an 8x10 is actually easier than a 4x10. no lifting, roll it in the u haul, roll it out, roll it on stage.

Almost everyone here has an 8x10 also, havent really seen much of anything else at gigs. kind of a who's got the uglier cab contest going on too lol. people give the SLM booger wood cabs flack but theres a ton of old REALLY beat up ones around here still going strong. I coated mine in beadliner and it will probably be good for another 20 yrs lol.

+1! :bassist: Roll on is better than carry on any day!

Yeah, it's due within a month or so. It's soooo hard not to email PJ every day with 'is it done yet????'

I'd love to ship it to JP for pics but that would mean waiting even longer and risking shipping it all over the country.

I'll take some and post them...

Lol! That's the way I was with my first USA Forte...weekly not daily though. Haha! It was easier waiting for the Forte 5 though. It actually came early, took me by total suprise! :D

On another note. Tomorrow night will be my first gig with the Forte 4. I've been a tad nervous to take it to some of the bars we play. The NS 2A has been getting the call but tomorrow's show is a private party and I'll have somewhat more "control" over the stage.

Forte > Mesa M9> Dually 215. Religious experience.

Awesome! Can you get a live video?

May I officially ask if I may join the Spector club. Went to my local Billy hyde music today and tried out a Spector performer 4 and a Spector legend 4. I have tried the legend before and fell in love with it at first feel. But parents didn't want me to buy an expensive one to just be used at home and for band considering I don't need an expensive bass as a beginner. So I then began my search for a less expensive bass. But after long thought I decided to go with what I really wanted. No other guitar appealed to me like this one. So I decided to go and put it on lay by and slowly pay the $1000 off.

So I went to my local store, tried the guitar out to make sure that's what I really wanted, and then realised they had a 50% off one day offer for all Spector guitars. And on top of that, since I shop there so much I get an extra 10% off. Which makes the guitar mostly affordable. I'm only $90 off from getting it. So in a month or so I will pay it off (going on holiday next week for a couple of weeks) when I get back. Looking so forward to it. I got the cherry red finish. So sexy..glad I got it in the end. Can't put a price on comfort and feel. Put up some pics when I get it...planning to get a leather strap and a nice hardcase to. Just thought id share my experience with you guys.

Congratulations!!! Way to stick to your guns and buy what you really like! My first Spector is a Legend 4 BlackCherry! Awesome finish and quilted maple on those! Love it, still have her! Join our club! :bassist:

Nice!...Something unusual and relaxing. :bassist:

Beautiful! Did you compose that song, it sounded fantastic and the video hit the mood spot on. Whoda thunk a Spector could be that laid back and mellow.;) What strings are you using in that video, I really like the clarity and warmth they (and your expert playing style) added to the overall tone.
Next up, you'll have to give us a screaming head banging video with the same bass just to highlight the range a Spector can deliver.

Many thanks :)
Yes I composed it from 3 pieces I was fiddling with and my wife liked them so much so I put them together and named the song after her :D
I actually recorded it with the Forte, but going to re-record some parts with the NS-2. Both basses are string with DR Nickel Lo-Riders.
And indeed...Next up is a more up-beat track. Working on it :bassist:

After hours of sanding I finally cut through the spray paint and found what I was looking for!
