I use the -15dB filters in my molded ear plugs. Seems pretty perfect for me.

What a boring weekend. Wound up crashing at a friends since my house was so cold. Bought a DS lite and final fantasy tactics and just played and played.
Went on a 7 mile snow hike around town and all my layers froze together and my hair became one large frozen chunk as well. So very odd (for texas).

Since toastfuzz's band broke up we had to find a new practice space/band to share with for like the 8th time since we formed as a band. We ended up moving in with some of our friends who just happen to be renting the first room we ever had a Supervoid practice in. Kind of funny how stuff like that works out sometimes.

Seriously, the price was so ridiculous, whatever you're imagining, it's probably less than that.

It may be a while before I have an amp rig the size of a walk-in refrigerator, but in the meantime I scored an SD Quarter Pounder for my #1 P bass and a MXR El Grande Bass Fuzz.
For the moment all my heavy has to go through headphones or into my digital recorder for laying down tracks, but I told my wife the day would soon come when I had another bass rig that'll literally blow the pants off her.

Great tone to be had but comes with a price... That is one of the heaviest heads I've ever lifted. Bring your lift belt.
I'm only 34, in relatively decent shape and can easily lift 80lbs. Weight doesn't bother me one bit.

Seriously. Our guitarists use mainly their amp overdrive (with one using a tubescreamer as a boost), but they still have a heavy sound. Not super fuzzed out, because that would get muddy with as many guitars as there are, but none of this light AC/DC stuff. Also, I've been tired of the 70s retro bands for quite a while.
I like the part about the look of terror on your drummer.
I use the swollen pickle for something similar, but there's no break before it. I basically turn it on and do this obnoxious sounding pickslide thingy and then go into the riff.
Right now the targets are Arcata, Chico, Eugene, Portland, and Seattle. That's probably all kind of a bit west of you.
