Been doing gardening and yard work all afternoon, procrastinating working on my paper. Going to throw some steaks, corn on the cob and mini stuffed peppers on the grill in a bit.

I smell bad, been sweating bourbon from last night, I'm dirty and I'm loving it. Sometimes i think i could easily quit my job and start a vegetable/ small livestock farm. Working in the dirt, busting ass all day just feels right.

Goddamn right. You and me both. I'd love to spend my time growing things for my family and myself. Something really satisfying about not doing a job for any other reason than the job itself.
Like " I'm growing these carrots cause I'm going to eat them. "
As opposed to "I read meters so my employer can get paid so I can get paid, so I can take that money and buy carrots and eat them."
Subsistence farming is something "really poor" people do, but I'd do anything to be "really poor."

so i took a hurried photo on my way to work that turned out hilariously bad, but this is the messy state of affairs so far. the photography is an artistic reflection of its state of completion. need to mount the power supply tonight, have to bust out the drill and do some man work. and i need to pick up a reverse polarity converter for the cthulhu - it's been running off the same battery for months though haha.

i'm considering ditching the pitchblack and getting the new sledgehammer pro clip on tuner. saves on board space, and money, and those things are damn accurate.

the RAT king is pretty god damn cool. it's everything i've wanted in a RAT - hi/lo clipping control, diodes and diode blend, and switchable from lo to hi gain. plenty of level on tap too which my other RAT clones i've had have been sorely lacking in.

the feedback loop is pretty hilarious and extremely unpredictable. using it with the RAT only is the best option or it just freaks out completely when being fed with lots of fuzz. holding the momentary and moving the pot with my foot creates some insane tones - can't wait to add a delay to the mix.

in other news, Stone the Crows is soon changing names, and we're now all doing some singing. and maybe wearing shirts for shows. weird.

Decided that I wanted a cab for my 2000s. Since I probably will not find one locally I have decided to follow in @D.M.N. s footsteps and build a 2000s cabinet. In light of that I made a pretty sweet speaker score. An intact and functional ~1970 K140 with zero cone damage for $50. Just gotta find one more for a reasonable price and then I can get started.

YES! I can't imagine the anticipation - I'd be seriously considering a cross-country drive to pick it up by now. Just creep around the bushes at Nick's house and wait for him to step out of the door with it. MINE! HAHAHAHHAHAHA!

So, if someone was to mod/build/buy a DOD 250, what would be the best option for bass? I hear the '77 DOD is a bit more mid-focused than the others. I'm thinking of buying a GGG clone, then modding the input cap so it doesn't lose any low end. Any input/experience?

grey one was by far the best i used, but i've changed in favour of more low end retaining pedals.

You can tell how huge it is by how tiny the 1/4" jacks on the faceplate look. Awesome.
