Well the Blower Box is still a good one, haven't fired mine up with the V4B yet though. I used my OG Turbo Rat last night and thought it sounded pretty cool, even though it sucks out a little low end.

Never really hear about anything except the Blower Box from them. Anybody try the Landphil? It’s a more tweakable Blower Box, so that could be awesome. I really liked the Blower Box overall, but it seemed too fizzy in the top end, so off it went. Currently using a VT for those tones and love it, but always interested in Idiotbox stuff. Just never hear about it much!
Yeah, we all know you don't like the Blower fizz, you turkey

Had the Blower Box for some time. It was supposed to replace Abominable DSOM as my main RAT distortion, but it just didn't sound right for me. I also had the Dimension X delay from Idiotbox and it was my main delay for a few years until I bought a Strymon El Capistan and off it went. Still, it was a really cool analog delay pedal.
Damned Black Tuesday! Now I'm gassing for the Blasteroid Fuzz. It was the first boutique pedal I ever wanted years ago.
Also: Got sucked into Effects forum lately and got a Mosky Black Rat from China. For a 20$ pedal, it's a pretty cool RAT clone.

I've tried most of their pedals. The quality and capabilities are solid, but I honestly don't know if they are so unique to validate the price. The Throne Torcher is probably one of the better HM2 clones out there. I could never get what I wanted out of the Rat clone or Muff clone. The Hellmouth is a pretty nice TS clone.
I never tried his modulation pedals.
Long wait times and rarity are an issue with all one man shops. You can get similar pedals with less drama.
Kinda what my ears tell me, but I’ve also had plenty of “bad” pedals that sound awesome to me, so I just have to hear on my bass, through my rig, etc. sometimes. But the demos haven’t been amazing as some others.
None of AE's pedals are bad. The blend on the deluxe versions is good. They play well with bass. The muff and Rat don't articulate with bass, and the TS articulates maybe too much. They are good, not great.
I'm also not in love with the new graphics. I'm fine with the imagery, just not the style.
I'm puzzled as to why the Cool Buzz isn't a fave in this thread.

Maybe if it were discontinued and selling for $500 used on eBay?
It's doomtastic bong rock in a simple-to-set little box.

Did some rearranging and added the boneshaker and carcosa. The carcosa on bass is killer. Not really liking it for guitar. Boneshaker is cool as a really low gain and EQ kinda deal. With the dirt all the way down it just sounds a little dirty. Messed around with a super glitchy and hated fuzz into a tremolo and now I want to have band practice. Guitarist has had some health issues allL summer so we haven’t gotten together much.
Been thinking about reacquiring the Boneshaker and Carcosa myself. Carcosa was nearly kept, but I could never quite dial in the Boneshaker.
I’ll need to get it in a band practice to see how it does. I like it with the drive all the way down for just some grit in my clean channel. If they’re set for the dirty channel and I swap back to my clean they’re way too harsh on guitar. But I really like them on bass. Little trendy but I think they will cut through better than a muff.
I've noticed the same with the boneshaker on low gain. Adds a ton of eq shaping and seems real effective there. Definitely took a bit to get a feel for the freq sweep, real easy now.
I haven't tried it with a guitar, I'm wondering if the higher gain works better with guitar. I haven't pushed the gain much on bass either as I liked the low grit so much.

Any recommendations for eliminating amp hum? It's coming from everywhere.
If I use my bass head alone (SVT or 300T) there is no hum.
When I turn on the PA, no hum. When I add a bass amp (not going through the PA), I get PA hum.
When I biamp w/ a 6505+ combo, the guitar combo and bass amp hum.
Also, what's the deal w/ the polarity switch on the back of the SVT?

Platform for lots of things and a dirty channel that doesn’t really need anything.
I juts picked up a nady he1 hum eliminator because of an effects loop hum. It uses a transformer to isolate one of the grounds on your cables. If your biamping the amps are probably seeing a common ground and have a little difference in potential internally.
Long story short I have a older mesa 215 with non OG speakers (eminence legend cb158). I was going to swap in original and ended up just getting a unmolested one. The OG cab is soo loud. Much louder then the cb158 loaded cab and the 810. Also the cab came with some history. From the seller: "[It came from a] Cool music store called Keepers. It doesn’t exist anymore, but the guy who ran it was super cool. Said Paul from Slipknot used it to record IOWA at Sound City in LA, then returned home and sold the whole rig. I didn’t have the money for the head, so I just got the cab. I don’t think I ever asked Paul to validate the story. Rich would have no reason to lie to me, so it all feels like it makes sense." I've had some time with it now and still baffeled how loud it is. Its easily the loudest cab ive ever owned. I run two cabs normally but I might end up doing some swapping to possibly this as my main cab if its on par and louder then my berg (not pictured).

i had a chance to buy one of those cabs around 12-15 years ago...added to my list of "ones that got away".

It seems audibly louder. With the surface area of the 810 I would assume it would be on par with that. But its louder then the 810 with just swapping heads at same settings. I have to turn a amp down to be where it was volume wise in the other cabs.
