I have a Joyo phase 90 copy, and I love it. It was like $30ish. I thought I'd end up replacing it but nope, it kicks.

I have a Wilson wah thats a copy of the wah sabbath used early on. Still have a love/hate with wahs. I like the sound when clean, and usually only ise it in those situations. I could probably drop it off my board and barely miss it.
I run Source Audio’s Spectrum filter on my board. The standard default sounds on the pedal are excellent but the editor just takes it up 100 more notches. Definitely has all the old Bass Envelope Filter functionality but smaller.
Well, my "compare flanger/phaser/fun effects" this weekend turned into "deep clean the kitchen with the wife" and then "do a guitar fuzz shootout". No complaints, as I'm definitely thinking of getting rid of some gear and need to pare down the collection, but didn't get to bass at all. Also, the kitchen needed it. Never seen it so clean, and I typically keep things pretty clean!
Anyway, may have to grab a Pork & Pickle soon. Found a line on a cheap one. Anybody know if it's worth grabbing if I already have both a Pork Loin AND a Russian Pickle? The clean blend option on the Russian Pickle intrigues me.

Thanks! Love jamming with those guys and they're good childhood friends to boot. Life got in our way, but we're trying to get back together to start the jams back up. Can't wait, we had so much material that spread both ways. From lighter jammy psych, jazz, and funk, all the way to some rad sludge and even some shreddy but heavy psych stuff.
Oh that's tough, honestly IDK. I'd probably try to cheat the answer and go with the Zoom multi pedal. I used that thing for years and there was a ton of effects on it I'd use. I'm a huge fan of most modulation. The Fooz is another I really like. If my feet were on the fire, I'd probably go with phaser. But I could make do with anything. There's a ton of semi multi effect pedals that are rad and with a tiny footprint though.
Oh man I forgot about wah...oh and for great small pedal, the tonelok chorus/flanger.
I'm doubling down. Listened back to a couple quick clips of my stuff. I loved that zoom multistomp. It was good AF. I only flipped to try and fund a zoia, which I haven't got yet...

The zoia scares me. Too many buttons. A nightmarish amount of buttons.
Got the Behringer Super Fuzz for $14 yesterday. Plugged it in, and wow - definitely not my tone. Not that I expected it to be, but for $14, I figure it's worth having another flavor of fuzz. And the boost function works perfectly well, so a cheap "boost" with simple EQ is fine too!
Yeah I get that for sure. I like how you can map out what each switch does and hoe you can build effects however you want. I'm planning on building up what I needed then just plug and play for live use.
That's how I set up my zoom. Set up a bunch of individual effects. Got em set up the way I wanted and just bent down and changed to the effect I'd need for the current song. Was quick enough, but I like the idea of being able to borderline design your effects. Granted what made the zoom great was how good each effect was, just needed to set em up.
The real kicker for the zoia is being able to hook up an exp pedal easy to control anything I want and that you can map out what each footswitch does.
NCD- I grabbed a used Mesa Subway 215. I have a hardcore rehearsal tonight and downtempo/dub rehearsal on Sat to put it through its paces. My hope is it will be easy enough to transport to replace my Aggie 1x12's and is loud enough to replace the Mesa Road Ready Diesel 2x15s (which have the voice of the God and the weight of Satan's balls). I will report back.
Hehe, since it was less than the price of a 12 pack of beer, I grabbed a backup one from Sweetwater.
I love it, but the sound isn't for everyone. It is the cheapest way to get yourself into the Univox Super-Fuzz neighborhood, even when it's not half price.
Isn't this "Electric Wizard in a box", basically? I just figured for $14 I can't go wrong!
Yeah, it's a FZ-2 clone more than anything. The one that I've actually plugged in isn't as spitty and nasty as some real ones I've heard, but it's surely the same type of circuit. I imagine there's some variance in the components, and some may be more nasty than others.
On the topic of cheap pedals, I've been enjoying the Valeton Dapper Indie, Rat-ish OD, Muff-Ish fuzz, Chorus/Phaser/Tremolo, Delay, Reverb, and Tuner all in one.
Dang, I didn't even know it existed. Plus, I dunno, multi-effects are kinda neato. Basically a decent pedal board in a box for $100. I wants it, thanks for the heads up!
Clarifying. I’ve used the Mesa RR 2x15 and Aguilar 1x12 (stack). Haven’t tried the Subway cabs. Curious to read how tje Subway 2x15 compares to either of those.
Based on online demos and what I’ve read, I’m expecting the Mesa would fall in-between, with 2 Subway 1x15 getting a bit closer to the RR.
