I wouldn't recommend using a kick mic for bass. They tend to have a built in eq curve that's suited for modern kick sound, which doesn't translate to bass very well. Any decent quality, general purpose dynamic mic will do pretty well for bass. Very few mics cut off low end, it's not much of a concern about it being "bassy" enough.
i think you'll like it. Personally I think they benefit from a HPF so if you find they are farting out or not loud enough I would give it a try with an HPF.Cool..looks like im picking up an AV (plywood) with legends today!
Mark's new pedal seems pretty cool.
Hmm. I really, really like this.
I've never carried a weapon, and don't ever see myself doing so.
I also live in Chicago where more people get murdered/shot that just about anywhere in the US.
It's easier to just be smart and not doing things or go places that'll get you in trouble.
yeah me too but I'm holding out for some Dunwich pedals. Trying to convince a friend of mine to give it a try though that way I can hear it in person.![]()

Morning gents,
So one of the bands we're playing with tomorrow has a problem with their van and wants to borrow drums, bass cabs and guitar cabs. Normally I wouldn't have a problem but I need to GTFO as soon as our set is done because I'm driving to Mississippi on Sunday and have to leave at the ass-crack of dawn. We don't have a van and each take our own vehicle so when I leave, my cabs need to leave with me.
Drummer hasn't responded yet, but he usually plays his vintage Ludwig kit - I can't imagine him wanting another drummer beating the **** out of his heads.
I feel for the guys, having a van issue isn't fun, I'd like to help but I'm not going to miss more sleep because their van broke down.
It was an RE20 clone. I was going to use it with DI. Can you tell I've been lurking outside the thread... Lol
