What were you pushing your Acme with prior?

For most gigs I was pushing two Acmes with either a DB750 or a Millennia/Crest CA-9 (one channel). I always had way more power/headroom than needed.

Note - my Acmes are all 4ohm, so I can only use a single cabinet at the moment although it is fairing quite well. I'm currently exploring my cabinet options.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could give me a comparison on the RS212 and the RS210? - eg can the RS210 go low enough etc? Sound clips would be awesome!

A comparison in terms of logistics would be good too: is the RS210 that more portable than the RS212?

I'm looking at buying either the 210 or the 212, so was just wondering what you guys would suggest as the better for a single cab set up.

I have both the RS210 and 212 and they are both great cabs depending on which situation you're going to use them in. If you're looking for a single cab for a small to medium size club/ coffee house/ 3 or 4 pc. gig with P.A. support the RS210 would probably work. If you play in larger venues with a full band and you want one cab the RS212 would be bigger and fuller sounding. The RS210 is tighter and punchier while the 212 is fatter, rounder and thicker sounding. It just depends if you like 10s or 12s better. I use them together and they sound great together on a large stage outside or in a large club. I think for small venues with a full band 2-RS210s would be better for a tighter punchier sound. The 212 is a little boomy for a small venue IMO. I'm thinking about getting another RS210 for the smaller venues and use both of them with the 212 for large venues. I'm sure that setup would kill. Hope this helps.

BTW, the RS210 and 212 are the same height and width while the 212 is about 6" deeper than the 210. They work great stacked vertically.
They also have a new RS112 which is smaller but just as deep as the 212.

So my RH450 came this morning. I've been playing it all day (that and the Shuttle 9.0). At this point I can say that the tuner, compressor and presets are really sweet features. Also it is thick sounding and pretty loud for 450 honest watts for sure. The Shuttle 9.0 takes the tone edge based on it's clear, articulate, organic tone as well as sheer power.
But the truth is I don't care how it sounds at home I want it to sound great on the gig period. I mean I do 4-5 one nighters a week every week. All I want is 1) best sounding reliable micro amp money can buy suited to my tone goals. 2) Headroom. 3) The simplest, lightest load out/in I can get. In that order.
So we shall see I have 2 outdoor gigs on the weekend that will surely put the RH450 through it's paces.

What is a 9.0? And I advise you get some mogami speaker cable for your RH450 to translate that excellent sound it has. The hosa /speakons sound muffled and muddy in comparison. a/b at a shop and you will hear it. I also play tons and love my RH450. I've flown about 30,000 miles with it this year in the same soft case with my bass. (Igig case) Plug it in to good back line cabs and BANG , I have my good sound everywhere.
