Fair enough. I've learned the hard way (repeatedly!) that my dry sarcasm doesn't translate well to text...
IMO, that's a decent price. I don't know where you are located, but in my neck of the woods I see the SR300 4 string models going for roughly $150-200 so for an extra string I'd say it's a solid deal. I have an SR300 4-string model and I love it, they are good basses. But I'm also biased because I love Ibanez basses.

That's a tough comparison, because yes, there's a lot of differences in woods. The 2018-19 Prestige models used a Wenge/Mahogany/Wenge sandwich for the body wings and Wenge/Walnut laminated necks while the Adam Nitti models use Swamp Ash for the body wings with a Maple top (in either quilt or flame) and the 5 string is a Maple/Purpleheart neck. So that's a pretty big difference in woods, which will have a noticeable difference in tone. You're also going from Ibanez electronics with Bartolini pickups on the Prestige to fully specific Bartolini pickups and pre-amp on the Nitti, which again is gonna be a noticeable tone difference.Hey everybody. Anyway, I would be so disappointed if I bought it and it's production wasn't as good as the last one.
I get that this is kind of a wacky question, I guess I am just looking for reasons not to shell out that money… But at $1300 after shipping and taxes!? I appreciate any thoughts, and I might be a club member again soon
If it's an ANB205, especially at that price, GET IT! It's my absolute favorite out of the 10 basses that I own (8 ibanez and 2 fender). That's a custom ramp my brother made for me. Modeled after the stock ramp the bass comes with.
Nice! I can't remember if the ramp that comes with it is radiussed... how about the one your brother made?
