A SpaceHouse IS intriguing of course, but here's a question for discussion... At what point would it just make more sense to go with one of the other preamps? Like... a double wide WH/SP pedal... Both seem good at doing one specific thing, but would it be more versatile (and take less pedalboard space) to just go with something like a LU/PA/Slampegg/X (depending on what flavor you want) that may not have the voltage control, but it'd have an EQ on it to get a wider range of sounds?
And it would be one more pedal (distraction) for @Sushi Box FX to make?

For a guy like me- the onboard preamp, half the other effect and preamp pedals, and the amp, has some type of a tone sack, and then I have a HPF and a LPF. Adding EQ on EQ, on EQ, on EQ... it gets to be too much.
I am really developing my "less is more" mentality. So I really find it refreshing to see a couple of pedals like the Westinghouse and Space Heater- no tone stack- just a tube to add to the chain.
I suppose you're asking whether you want an all-in-one answer to get rid of my myriad of pedals, or if you want a few pedals that all can do one different thing really well.
If you find that answer out, let me know, I'll invest and we'll make an extra paycheck every couple of months.

Got my Slampegg X today. I’m lovin’ it. I think I will be selling my Linden.
I'll have to see if I can track down a 2x15.
It is set up for 7027A, but alas I don't have any on hand. Also the seller included the tubes in his pictures and didn't mention not including tubes, but apparently decided not to include them. So I'll be having words with him, but I have a matched pair of 6550, so they'll go in it for now. It uses a 7199 for a phase inverter though, and I don't have anything like that around so I've had to order one and it's going to be about a week, so after 3 weeks of waiting I still have to wait a little longer
I may have some 7027As that I don't need. I'm not sure how good they are i.e. where they are at in their lifecycle.
I use the Cioks 4 and you can dial in how much power you need assuming you have the right cable. I could do it with the Fliptop (see my posts in that thread about that pedal at different voltages), and I can get what I need for the Slampegg Twin. The Cioks isn't for everyone but I find it just works.
This. The other preamps are great but they are meant to be based on or emulate a specific tone stack or amp model. A certain flavor if you will. The premise behind my idea of incorporating the WH and SH together was to add simple yet versatile character into your signal by basically book ending your signal chain with the tubes. Not it's own flavor per say but to enhance the flavor and character already there.
Simple is good. Literally 1 foot switch to engage both preamps, the same controls they have now, and the addition of a switch to swap which preamp is up front and which preamp is on the end. If you want eq, throw it in the effects loop.
I had considered the Eventide PowerMini, but the Cioks 4 looks much better, since all 4 outputs are adjustable.
What power adapter do you use on the input side of your Cioks 4? I've got a Mooer 24V/2A adapter that uses a grounded mains cord (not a wall wart) which would seem to be just right for one.

I got the Cioks 4 kit with the adapter which is just a small laptop adapter and is 24V. The Mooer may work.

Sweet, same here. Mine out for delivery, I'll be trying that as well, going to put a toggle up top though, mod on/off. Have you already tried it and deemed it too loud?
I tried it with a 12v power supply i found and it was super loud. We shall see what going back down to 9v does.
On another note it was super noisy. Tons of white noise. It’s probably the crappy power supply though.
Mine is super loud on 9V , didn't notice much noise with DC7 or 1Spot (home studio volume though).
