Thunderbird Club

They made them with a faux wood delete option but they're rare. :laugh:
Why would you delete the faux wood?

I had one of these in high school and college:

It was even that color, which was called "Gray Gold." You can't make this stuff up.

That's a nice one. I love those things, I started buying them about twenty years ago to move equipment around as a second car but quickly grew to really like them, the Buick I have is almost like a Cadillac station wagon and it's fast, it came stock with a Corvette V8, limited slip and dual exhaust. I came from a big family so was already used to them.

I've tried tube preamps and they're all too farty for me. I am absolutely thrilled with my GK 800RB preamp I had Master Effects make me. When I can use it, that is. I mostly play the B-15 these days because it's what's at the practice space. Of course I run my always-on Damnation MBD2 into it.
you guys must practice a very low volumes..

I've thought of reading that book but it seems like it would be a long drawn out bunch of junkie tales which I've read my share of, the Johnny Thunders book probably cured me. :laugh:
Keef's book was plenty of druggie stories for me. Then I made the mistake of reading Chrissie Hynde's book. I had thought she was there for so many things like Sid's last night alive that it must be really engaging. I was disappointed as the first half of the book was about drawing unicorns in high school and all the parts that I wanted to know about, she was too drunk and stoned to remember. Huge disappointment.

That's a risk when using a dirt pedal designed for guitar. A lot will suck out the low end. The key for bass is having a blend knob, to blend in your clean signal. Or use one that's specifically designed for bass. But to each their own.

My EH Bass Big Muff Pi did ok until it wonked out. My MXR Bass Distortion sounds good with the right blend. Neither is perfect (in my book) but they're affordable and good enough for my needs right now.

Dang! Shoulda told me sooner. I ain't got time to make 'plane reservations, get someone to feed the cat, get a passport, rent a car, set my GPS to metric, etc.;)
Have a blast.:bassist::thumbsup:

Start working on getting the passport now and you might get it in time for the same gig in a year or two. :banghead:
