Well, if you include me, that's two.that’s a tough one……know only one musician that consistently nails it every time…
Unfortunately, the guitarist who sings it-in F-insists on resolving the last chord(Dm)to the F. Aaaarrrggh.

Rather than make us sound "wrong", I go with him, but only after he goes to F, I slide up from D.…say it ain’t so…not on that pls..
I guess some times it’s just best to give in and F it all.Rather than make us sound "wrong", I go with him, but only after he goes to F, I slide up from D.
Nothing wrong with an Explorer-shaped bass!! Here is my 1982 Hamer Blitz Bass. Hands down one of my best sounding basses.

Has anyone tried Ibanez strings? Opinions?
The price.I meant what about the Ibanez strings had your attention?
Those are surprisingly light.I think I'm feeling kinda pointy ? Will I get tossed from the club if I buy this ? I'm also a sucker for a natural finish. Suckhaaaa !!!!View attachment 4895067
That's really interesting - what is the body wood? What year was it made? I mean, it has a Schaller 3D bridge, but what do you feel makes it sound exceptional? The pu's and/or their placement? It's bitchin' looking, but why do yo think is sounds so good? (honestly asking) I have a friend who loves his Hamer guitar.
I often an more fond of covers, but do love this almost as much as the original. Then again, anything Mavis does is golden.that’s a tough one……know only one musician that consistently nails it every time…
Don't buy (questionable) strings for the price. It's not worth it. Wait a few weeks and buy something better or more what you hope for in a string. The price.
Those are surprisingly light.
I replaced the factory bridge on mine. The string spacing was too wide for the neck. This one from Allparts is adjustable.

I believe it's a 1982 model (Maybe 83) and its a mahogany body, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard. The pickups are original Dimarzio PJ pickups, and that is definitely part of why it sounds as good as it does IMO. All hardware is Schaller, but before they started using Hamer-branded Schaller hardware. I am sure the combo of body woods and electronics all play a part in why it sounds as good as it does (Maybe the age of the wood as well?). Hard to say why, but it sounds great and feels similar to wearing a Bird when playing it.
My St Blues PJ bass has the same pickups and its another killer sounding bass.
