Thunderbird Club

Many thanks, much appreciated.
Are the rings necessary though?
All of this won't happen right away, the pre modding has commenced.

Trust your Queen here, you want the rings  Go forth and buy them.

The cool thing is you can do this kind of stuff a little at a time and it's pretty easy modifications - I've worked way more intensely on model trains.

It is somewhat flat and miserable around here. We're going for a jaunt to Bluff today and into deepest, darkest western Southland tomorrow -- damp cold temperate rainforest, sheep and deer.

I've always wanted to visit New Zealand, if you should take any pictures..........

We have a damp cold rainforest on the westernmost tip of Washington State, it's a beautiful, very fascinating place.

Just listened to Jimmy Buffet for the first time, because it was suggested by youtube. Damn I'm glad I never did and never will do again. Need some acoustic healing. Now.
Some of the most boring music imaginable.

Yeah, they're like the purest form of rock n roll, but harder and faster. I love it. Rose Tattoo & ACDC share a similar quality for me.
Like Motorhead a lot, but not really fond of either of the other two.

I don't watch the news. I only read it. I've always found TV news to tend to harp on things for a long time while also having very little information.
What irks me are the young, eager reporters standing in front of some downed tree and trying to make a big deal about it. I don't blame them; I blame their producers who are forcing them to file meaningless reports. There was real devastation in Houston, the Keys and the Caribbean. But they really didn't report on any of it in real time. TV news is pretty useless.

My only half decent anesthetics story, when I had my wisdom teeth pulled, the anesthetics didn't fully kick in when they put the mouth spreader in and I heard it clicking into position. It was one of the weirdest moments of my life. Very shortly after that I hallucinated for a split second then passed out…

Pretty sure just before I passed out I heard the same voice and laugh as in the beginning of Anthrax - Madhouse :roflmao::roflmao:
Well, I could tell the story about my wisdom teeth extraction where they called for emergency assistance...but I won't.

Loving the studio apartment setup! :roflmao:
I can't say much cause the majority of stuff I do/have is the epitome of overkill.

No new pictures of the dog, so Monday night rigs anyone? Or Monday night music rooms?

Please be careful my young friend. Your rigs are awesome. But remember that your ears are a valuable instrument too. Having tinnitus from being way loud when I was young is no fun.

It's a Hipshot. It was on the bass when I got it, and I'm liking it more and more over time. The 2015 has not been chromed out, which means the d-tuner is black, with the later style Y handles instead of clovers. That makes it easier, since you have to talk to Hipshot and be specific about what you are ordering to get clovers that fit a Thunderbird headstock. As far as I can tell, the d-tuner was a direct fit for the 2015. Hipshot tuners required some added holes in the 1991 headstock, because the design of the original tuners on that one was different from the current design. It's the location of the small screw that goes into the back of the headstock that changed sometime or another. More information than you asked for, but I figure it's good to have depending on the year of 'Bird you are thinking about putting a d-tuner on, and what you want the handles to look like.
Thanks for that. I've been thinking about drop D for a couple of songs I'm working on that I'd love to play on my 2015.

Personally, I hope not. The NBA could fall off the planet and I wouldn't care at this point - As an organization they treated Seattle very badly, not that I'm a big fan, but that was a seriously douchie move and I'll never, ever support the NBA in anything it's involved in.
I hear you. I'm at that point with the NFL and the way it lets teams relocate with no regard for the fans. Now that my beloved Chargers (I know, what's to love?) are in LA, I have one less time suck. Even though they're closer to me now, it just isn't the same.

Well Im still underway on the ship. I grabbed my T bird, my pedals, and my records and brought them onboard with me. So they are all safe and sound. We haven't received clearance to go back to Key West yet so I only know that my house still has a roof. Not sure if there was any flooding though. From the satellite image we have, my yard looks good. No downed trees. Neighbors boat is trashed. He left it on the water and it's now upside down. But the family, including the bird, is safe and sound. Glad to hear everyone else is OK as well.
Great news! You all took the brunt of it from what we hear.

Thank you!
Unfortunately I already have (very) minor tinnitus, but other things have played big factors in that, I've shot guns without proper ear protection, and working industrial maintenance in a very loud factory hasn't helped either... plus a fair amount of concerts

Hey! @Larry V
I'm pretty sure I have another band you'll get into... as will anyone who loves good solid Rock & Roll! Compared to the Datsuns... they're less punk & more blues oriented, but they'll still knock you on yer arse!

Any of you New Yorkers heard of these fellas? They're from your neck of the woods!:bassist:

Thanks for that one, Fix! They have a new Spotify subscriber. Good stuff.
