I got my fill of poundings in that one general area, all in one good shot. I was standing on the first level of a pallet rack, disassembling the upper level. They were a huge PIA because they were old & beat up. I had been doing it for a couple days, and gotten used to beating & banging on 'em to get 'em apart. Well... there I was loaded for bear. I grabbed that beam with my left hand, and my hammer with my right... and as I was slingin' that hammer with everything I had... the beam just slid right out! I lost my footing & fell. One leg to the left of the beam I was standing on, and one to the right. Their was blood and swelling in places you
do NOT want either one! I was back home like 8 - 10 hours later, but I wasn't moving. I was off work for nearly 3 months... & I
still don't walk quite right
For the record... I
do not recommend this activity
