I don’t know if it’s an Italian thing, but my grandma’s purse/handbag has to be big enough to put the restaurant menu and the salt & pepper shakers in it… yes that actually happened.
Her sister-in-law is the same way.

My wife says the same about her Italian family. There was a scene in the Sopranos where a group of older Italian ladies finish lunch and take everything off the table before they leave. My wife started laughing and said she had witnessed that behavior growing up.

Everything except the table cloth!

That’s why I specifically said my grandmother’s sister-in-law, instead of my aunt, so it doesn’t sound like it’s just my family. I’m glad that it’s not!

I think a 'purse' is what we call a handbag or even just a 'bag'. I have a small bag but it's not really a 'handbag'. More of a pocket on a strap for keys, cardholder, phone and sunglasses. Anything more is an encumbrance.
Sorry for the confusion. I generically called it a purse, my wife calls it a handbag (over the shoulder strap) or a clutch (much smaller hand held). I can't stand sh!t in my pockets. So with the exception of my wallet, wifeypoo gets to haul all my junk (car keys, sun glasses, phone, change, etc) around in her handbag. I hate it when she only has a clutch because it won't hold any of my stuff. Fortunately for me she doesn't mind.

The Levi's 557xx Type III jacket, commonly referred to as the Trucker Jacket. It's pretty much the thing you think of when you hear Denim Jacket, but the cut and style can come in a variety of materials.

@kat888 - now practice saying...
That's a spiffy little denim blazer, does it come in any other colors than navy with pumpkin stitching? :roflmao:

Same in my world :)

Not only the women, my dad used to do the same thing. When I was a small child and taken to the Automat for the first time I blurted out, "They have the same spoons as we do!"

Edit alert- sorry...
I can't sell my upright, which I never play, or trade it for a bass I'd like to have, because my wife loves it. She 's always telling me I should play out at old folks ' homes...
Hmm, there's a certain female in my circle of aquaintances that is quite in love with "my upright" and keeps encouraging me to just "let her keep it in her bedroom for a night". She seems to push the topic every time we run into each other at open mics.
Fortunately my upright is happily married and can tastefully decline such invitations. And my upright does not go unplayed, in case you were wondering.

Took the ‘02 to a rehearsal tonight. Sounded great with that trio. The drummer really listens and comments on the gear I bring each week. He said he preferred my ‘02 to my ‘14 with them, but thought my ‘14 worked better for my Derek Hoke gigs than the ‘02. He also much prefers the Mesa D800 with them over the Traynor. Sadly, I agree with him 100%

You guys beat me to it. Totally a modded Epi. He may or may not be a scammer, he may have been scammed and totally oblivious to the fact he’s got an Epi.

My Classic Pro.

From the ad.

Looks like it is just an Epi VP being sold off as a Gibson Bicentennial - Except a Gibson Bicentennial doesn't have the jack on the side...

It’s a 3 point bridge so at the very least it’s a Classic Pro, chromed out.

Nail on the head there.
I think it looks nice, but he's way over top on $$$

So.. I got a really great deal on my VS 'Bird because it was a Factory 2nd. From what the seller said & what I can see, it was due to an incredibly small, slight scuff on the lower horn edge and back. Seriously does not bother me compared to what I saved. And in my thrilled condition, I took that "saved" money and put it toward the regular priced Alpine White. Because, ya know.. that somehow made sense in my mind to celebrate saving money by spending more of it! (I was just gassing hard for the AW!) Anyway... the VS has the sticker with the newly assigned serial number since it's a 2nd. Question... if sticker indicates it's a 2017 is that from the original serial number OR when they assign a new number is it possible that could be the year that it was reassigned? I'm curious if this is actually a 2017 or if there is a possibility it's a 2016 that got a new serial number in 2017? It really does not matter to me either way. I'm more interested in the process of how they reassign the serial numbers and if the year could change because I've asked this question of the seller store as well as on another forum and no one knew the answer.

I suppose you could remove the serial sticker, and see if the old serial would still be underneath?

Hmmm.. interesting. I assumed they somehow blocked out the original before putting the sticker on otherwise scammers could just peel the sticker off and sell without the stigma of a "2nd." Might check on this because now that you mentioned it my fingers will be itching to lift that sticker just a little bit to satisfy my curiosity. ;)

Just tried a set of LaBella flats on my ‘14. They were lightly used and I forgot they were 50-110. I’ve been running 45-105 on both ‘Birds. Aside from the neck bow I plugged it in to hear how the Deep Talkin’ Bass strings would sound. I could see where it could be cool for some things, but to me it was just too dark and dull. Gonna look around locally for a good ‘middle ground’ string like Pressure Wounds or something that’s between flats and rounds. I also restrung the Drake for drop tuning as my Dunlop rep had sent me a 5 string set of Super Brights. I’d just toss the G string. Decided to let the tension decide the tuning. C# standard felt great so I went with that. Sounds incredible. The Drake is 35” scale and the string guage is 65-125. Really happy with the sound and guessing a few of the new Prayer Flags songs will be in C# :)
