Thunderbird Club

Yes! Only album I think I have with that is the Heavy Metal soundtrack.

It was a really great design for extended play - audiophiles would have a heart attack just thinking about two LP's stacked together... :bag:

Dude!

Just waiting on the neck...

Ok, let see what all this “flatwounds on a Bird” fuzz is all about...barely intonated:eek:....the three points really are a pain in the culo to fiddle with...

Well, not just any flatwounds will likely do. Are those Chromes or Legends? I can't really picture Chromes sounding good on a Thunderbird nor do they represent a good flat string, but who knows.

And yest they are in that respect....

I like two pickups for a lot of reasons, but there are those who remove the second pickup if it's there to start with. Also for a lot of reasons. The consensus is that there is a difference between a single pickup and two pickups, even if you turn down the bridge pickup volume completely.
Any reasons as to why the single pickup sounds different than just having the bridge turned off? Which is a great sound, for sure.
