What is the longest...

1977 Fender Precision got it new for $415.

1980 Ibanez MC-924, bought in 1981 (takes awhile for the shipment to get from Japan to the retail outlets in Toronto) — never made it to the wall, straight from the box into my hands.

1981 Vantage VA900B/FL and a 1982 Ibanez MC-940.

Still have all three.

I'd love to see this one. Was it made in '68?

Yes, the date on the neck is 68. You probably wouldn't approve though. . . it was extensively upgraded in the early 90's. Bart PJ pickups and a pre amp. it wasn't original anyway, it needed a refret after about 3 years, the nut broke and I had some problems with the tuners. Not one or Fender's finest, but I liked it. . . . until I moved over to 5 string basses.

Well... let's see Her... who cares whether or not I "approve?" I'm not here to judge.
