You guys are gonna like that one...it's an "everything but the kitchen sink" build...
72 hours later and the epoxy around the inlay has cured up nicely. After a rough sandback to 120, here is the result.
I’ll finish up the final sandout once the fingerboard has been attached to the neck and is ready for a final compound radiusing.

At long last, the red one is done and I can now focus my energy on Tiger Bass II and other projects!
Thanks! It’s going to look way better once I final sand and polish it up. Apparently, a few palm fronds need to be landscaped
Yup, better put it in a box and send it to me so it doesn't distract you from the build off bass...
That top is absolutely insane! Beautiful burst as well. It's making me think crazy thoughts... like maybe I need an active 2-pickup magma-burst burl-top 5-string to have around.

Too many projects!
Back in the shop for an hour in between Saturday activities. The neck is rough tapered on the bandsaw and then cleaned up on the router with the template and flush trim bit.
The fingerboard is slotted for the nut, and similarly trimmed to a dimension roughly 2 mm oversize.
The fingerboard and neck billet are now glued up.
I’ll let this dry overnight. Depending on time tomorrow, I may be able to get the scarf joint and headstock glued up before heading out of town Monday on business. We shall see!
Clamps are removed, fingerboard looks solid, alignment is spot-on.
The fingerboard is trim tapered to final dimensions.
Headstock and veneer laminates are thickness planed using the router.
