The way it SHOULD work in an ideal situation is everyone should help each other load / unload equipment until all is done. Everyone’s instruments and the PA are at the service of the whole band’s performance. Of course that rarely happens in real life, but that’s what SHOULD happen.

Not the same. It sounds like quite the PA and if everyone has IEMs you don’t even need a bass amp, just a DI into the PA. A PA like that truly is for the whole band and your bass amp is really just for you.

I LOVE the P bass sound and ergonomics but it’s not a versatile enough beast for me. My current go-to’s are active 5-string Jazz kinda basses. If I need a P bass sound then using the neck pickup and a bit of bass boost gets me close enough. Bonus points for hum-cancelling.

Agree. As a recent purchaser of a German vintage JJ5, I find the tuners to be sub-par. They're heavy and not very smooth. Trying to get my hands on some Hipshot Ultralites which I hope will be a big improvement in both smoothness and alleviating the neck dive. The rest of the bass is very nice.
