Hi guys, I've tried the e906 this weekend on my bass cab and the sound was very decent. Maybe not as good as the mics you listed, but still works pretty good if you EQ it. The RNP rules!

I asked the same thing on the TGP forum Invalid Link Removed From what I understand, mics are pretty transparent... it's just a matter of what tone you want to get... I thought that if you recorded louder you'd get better results by not cranking the preamp too much...

Hi everyone, I tried an MXR Bass Octave Deluxe yesterday at the guitar shop and I thought it was pretty nice until I went up to the G string. For some reason between the 1st (G#) fret and the 5th fret (C) the tracking was really off and the note would go up and down randomly. :confused: All...

I know it's not a bass but I've seen a used Stratocaster w/ Surf Green color that I might buy. My collegues think it's ugly but I think it's really nice! But I'm colorblind, maybe that's why... :confused:

It looks like my old Ergodyne Bass. If it's anything like it, it sucks donkey balls compared to a real bass guitar (i.e. Fender USA). It's OK for beginners but once you try a real instrument you cannot go back. :)

There is a difference between an active bass and active pickups? I thought an active bass was a bass... with active pickups :D

Well if there's a battery I guess it's an active bass. One of my basses is an Ibanez Ergodyne w/ active pickup but I've never tried to play without a battery... I usually change the battery every time I change my strings. Unless you bought it used and somebody replaced the pickups w/ passive...

I love surf green too. It seems that they only make standard colors now and nothing unusual. I guess sunburst is everybody's choice these days. I've got a cream-coloured Fender Jazz MIA (1999). I've bought it used and it has a black pickguard. I'm planning to replace it for a tortoise...
