Sure, all the time. Plugged in is preferred but not always an option when you are renting a room in a smallish house with other people.

My first instrument was bass! :D Bass for 3 years, then drums for four years, then back to bass for I cant remember how many years, then trumpet for two years, back to bass for 4-5 (?) years, and started practicing my Stick Control book again recently :hyper: Never had any interest in guitar.

Ah ok, they're together a few years though, so early twenties when they started. Just sayin, it can work with the right people.

Have a look at these guys, singer/guitar player is in his 60s I think, bass and drums are in their mid twenties. They seem to be doing ok!

I never heard of TH Stevens before so I had to google him, watching a few youtube videos of him now, he has quite the stage presence! :)

Nothing to laugh at there, I would have great respect for a 15yo playing double bass. Not many of the young people would be choosing it as their first instrument.

It did cross my mind that this amp had been sitting in his bedroom for over a year. But not until after it failed. Hindsight is 20:20, I wont be borrowing again. I certainly hope its not too expensive either, I'l post back when I find a tech and get the diagnosis. What a pain in the ass! :mad:

Hey woah! You make that sound so terrible! The amp and cab were a match, it was my friends rig that he used to use all the time for his metal band. They finished a year ago so he hasnt been using this gear, I didnt see any harm in borrowing it as we were too play in a ballroom. Too big a room...

I got a loan of a Warwick x-treme 10.1 bass amp for a gig. I was checking levels with the drummer when the amp blew a fuse. We got the fuse replaced, the amp powered on but then there was no sound! I took everything home after the gig, the cab isnt the problem, I tried it with a different head...
