im tryin to learn how to EQ just at all. never played with sliders or knobs before & im not an audiophile so im not good with the KHZ sounds. i have a hartke HA3500, i dont want to sound like flea but i want to hear the low end just as i do the treble. also like a geddy lee type sound would be nice.

i dont know where else to put this but ive been playing bass for about of year & im ready to join a band, whether it being cover or original. only thing is i have no clue of how to go about this. im located in new york & its awkward that i dont find many bands around, anybody have any suggestions?

i use rotosound 66 swing bass, i went to a local guitar store and they only had the 66 in xtra long scale & those are too long for my J bass. i picked up nickel roundwound D'Addario with the same gauges, is there a huge difference in tone from the steel from nickel??
