Yeah, thats what I have now, a peavey 410 TVX.....by far the heaviest peice of gear I have ever encountered. I wonder if I can get a towel rack for it?!?!?!!

Here is my pair of GK 412's. I bought them used and a bit beat up. Stripped the tolex had them sprayed with line-x. Replaced all of the hardware and recovered the grills.

I remember seeing one of those at my local Music Go Round store perhaps 7 - 8 years ago. How well do the highs from the 8s (they're 8s right?) match with the lows from the Vega 18?

Yup, they're 8s. I'm not sure how they sound to the crowd but standing 2 feet in front of it, its a good balance. I played through an Ampeg 8x10 and compared to that it the highs seem a little more brittle and thin (which isn't too bad for popping actually), but the 18 gets those ground shaking fundamentals like no other. I wish I could compare it to one of those Rickenbacker Transonics with the massive 30" driver, but I haven't seen any in person. I prefer these 8"ers over a tweeter, but that's just my opinion. My ears dig the vintage/Motown sound.
