Drummer, you want it because....because....well really no solid reason. Nostalgia is in the past and in today you havevway better gear already.

Yes, there is no good reason to buy it. A modern Squier or SX is a way better bass than this. But, it's where it all started forty years ago.

Does this count as fashionably late?'bout time you showed up...now where is FM?
Congrats on the new singer!Band found a new singer, she's awesome!
FM, you and I together are dangerous for sure, but in a really good way.![]()
That sucks DT.
The clutch unfortunately blows.

Thanks. Here is my mando story for the night.
About four years ago I moved my upright from the practice space into the living room which was more convenient for practicing by myself. Mrs C3 comes home, walks into the room and kind of does a double take and says "that thing is huge." Not thrilled but tolerating me as she usually does.
A few weeks later the band asks me if I can play mandolin on a couple of songs, and I think I can but I don't own one. I don't feel guilty about owning a bunch of basses but I felt a little guilty about going out and spending dough on a mandolin since, uh, I'm a bass player. But I do it anyway, and move the upright back into the practice space.
So now I'm sitting on the couch in the living room practicing the mandolin and Mrs C3 comes home, walks into the room and kind of does a double take and says "what's that thing?" I said "I know you thought that upright was taking up too much room, so I put it back in the practice space and got this little one to practice on." She gave me this approving look - like, what a considerate husband.![]()
My best wishes. Basswave is an awesome dude. We had our pic taken together at the recent NE GTG. Pic enclosed.

You choose your wood for the sound? I usually choose mine for the feel.Mine is in between but we chose it mostly for the sound.

looks much more figured with when wet.
BSB, I am like 6"1 1/2. I was wearing Furry Monkeys black
4" stilletto heels for the occasion so I look a little taller, that's all.
I dunno, it kinda interested me...although I"d like to see him walk in them, since there's no way i could walk in them.
Tat, I'm getting a thick glossy clear coat on the body.
It stuff like this, despite all the ugliness in the world, that makes me hold some glimmer of hope for the human race. Kudos to you and your bandmates, Ed.
I don't post here very often but I've been sub'd to it for a long time. You guys always seem to find a way to put a smile on my face. When someone is going through a bad spell (Drummer I don't know how you've made it through the last year) the support shown is incredible.
A couple of weeks ago I posted about the fiddle/mando/acoustic picker in our band having been diagnosed with a brain tumor.
The CWB community was extremely kind in putting him in their prayers/thoughts and wishing him the best.
He's been playing the gigs we've had. Even though he couldn't play his instruments he was still singing fine but got tired as the night wore on. After our first set last night he told us he wasn't able to go any further and would have to step off the stage. He then informed us the tumor is large, cancerous and inoperable.
He hasn't given up, he's on medications to try to reduce/slow the growth and they are exploring radiation therapy once they do a biopsy but the prognosis is extremely grim and the "cure" even worse. He told us he is OK with the hand he has been dealt and is still his usual kind, gracious self.
While I'm not a spring chicken (I remember when I could remember the 60's) I can honestly say I've never had to deal with a close friend having a terminal illness. I just wish I could be half as gracious as he is.
Sore and happy, the after-effects of having too much fun. I think it is my very favorite state of being.
Except for after that night with FM. I was happy, but in the morning I kinda wished I was dead for awhile there, LOL. There IS such a thing as having too much fun... (Of course, I won't hesitate to do it all again when I get another chance...)
I bet FM could make anyone feel that way
I don't usually drink enough to feel like i wish i was dead.
I will get FM to take care of the Mule's bags for a CD. If I can talk her into it, of course. I think our Po' Monkey has had a very busy holiday. She'll "come up for air" eventually.
There is a possibility that the supply of duct tape in southern IL has been depleted, but I think we may have to reserve judgement on that for a few days. Or maybe their is a Zombie invasion up there. She did say something about a teenager, that's always a life changing experience...

I like men who like grinches. And I particularly like the adorable Grinch in question - and if she lived closer, I would definitely get her to change her mind about Black Friday shopping. We make a girls night of it, get really loopy from over-caffeinated lack of sleep and laugh so hard for so long we can barely breathe and our ribs ache. It's a non-stop shop and laugh fest until we pass out the next morning. Maybe next year, you should plan a Thanksgiving visit to Ohio...
I can't comment on "wee heads." Suggest you consult:
LOL..space where we're currently playing is TIGHT.
Jackie's dad had surgery this morning to increase bloodflow to his feet. The surgery went well.
I can exhale now. Life is good.
Nice DerTeufel...
I have to admit that I feel a little kooky about wanting to shoot myself that way, but I'm looking forward to doing it as well.

Sheeee's Ba-aaaaack.

Hi FM!
You had me (literally) laughing out loud. Jackie asked me what I'm reading, when I said it was you she understood.
We all may on occasion be witty, you are the ninja of the double entendre.
Welcome back!
I'm going to walk down to R Bar in a few minutes, there is an open stage. I may or may not sit in, but it's a great chance to hang with a ton of musician friends either way.
I have practice with Feral tomorrow night, a gig with Feral on Saturday, practice with GRR on Sunday and the big gig at the Hard Rock on Tuesday.
I'm okay if I don't play tonight.
My (in) box is full, so if anyone wants to say hi, my email is [email protected] No spam...unless it's p0rn.![]()
