Dingwall Owners Club

A Monique would be a killer option, too, but it's a bit outside my price range :D

The Noble has different bells & whistles in comparison to the Monique.

I have the Noble on my pedal board at all times. It serves as a killer backup preamp, the power supply for my other pedals, a great DI option, and I'll use it as my primary preamp when I really need to cut down on what I'm bringing to the gig.

I could easily use it as my main preamp, but I have the Monique and it's been my tone for a few years now. I was fortunate enough to get both of them for a great price on the used market.

I'm getting more and more curious about Dingwall basses, especially after listening to the Adam Nolly Cam video. It sounds fantastic loaded with the Darkglass Tone Capsule, and I'm a huge fan of Darkglass electronics. I like the pickup placements near the bridge side by side, wired with a selector rather than a blend, and I bet it sound awesome in series mode. I've never really been a fan of blend controls, and all my current basses have them.

I've never tried a FF bass before, and the curiosity is growing.
I received my new NG2 5 string about 6 months ago. Like you, Iwas nervous about the fanned fret, but after playing it for only a few minutes all my doubts were gone! This bass is simply amazing, quality, sounds, playability, it has it all! I can’t see how you could possibly be disappointed!!!!!

Which amps are you guys using with your DWs? My live tone comes 95% of the time from the DI out of my pedalboard, but I've been thinking about replacing my GK MB Fusion for something else
I have the Bergantino Bamp thru a pair of Berg Reference 112s, the sound is killer!!!!! I’m going to add 1 more 112 soon, just to have the full power capability of the amp if I ever need it.

Question for the boffins - anyone remember what the string spacing, weight, neck radius and neck width is on the new 6-string Combustions? (in comparison to the other 6's we've been discussing)

I've never been a 6 string player, primarily 5 strings. Sold all my 5's off a couple of years ago and want to get one back in the stable. However, I've been wondering whether going a 6 might be a better option to allow me more noodling/play options. Bit paranoid though about waiting 9-12 months for my order to be fulfilled, only to get it and to struggle/hate playing it :S

There are a few Canadian 6s for sale. Look around - Talkbass Classifieds/Reverb, etc. (No I'm not the seller, I only play 4s and 5s).

I'm curious. Being where your from do you have any exposure to eich products? I've been curious about the T1000.
Yep! The conservatory where I go to recently bought a couple of Eich combo amps. They're pretty good! But I haven't really had the time to really check out all the stuff they can do.
However, I was planning to go to the local music store after coming back from Denmark and give several amps a try with my SJ. They have Mesa, Eich, Darkglass, EBS, etc

Btw, is any of you in Denmark (Aarhus/Odense)??

I'd would really LOVE to see some Dingwall basses! A few of you fine folks put up a few 6ers the last couple of pages that were all drool-worthy! drool I'd like to see any and all you guys have. It's only sheer willpower that's keeping me from hitting up @bebass and ordering a couple of ABZ's(I'd like to pay down some of the Christmas spending before I run the CC's back up on new Dingwalls. I'm close though, very close...)

Show me what'cha got!!

PLEASE!!!:D

I had this custom ordered - in i think 2013 I believe. It was about an 8 month wait - as far as i was told, it was the only ABZ made with fretboard blocks. All wenge neck/fretboard, ash body, full passive. Sounds amazing. REALLY sounds perfect with my bassman 100T tube head.
