Gibson 2019...seriously?

Of the eight introduced colors, I found three that I'd buy a SG in and another two that I quite like, but would not want it on a dual humbucker electric guitar.
IMO that's a good score. I'm picky. They managed to score with me three times.

Gibson's king of black headstocks, but I think the Frost Blue would look even better with a matching headstock, white pickguard, knobs and pickup rings.
I'm all for different colors but I simply think some of the new Les Pauls look better.
Is it just the white pickguards or the paint itself?

I like all those colors, though I would prefer every one of them (except for the natural) with a black pickguard... easy change to make though

Gibson just can't win, can they... I mean, when someone complaints about both the new colors AND that they keep the old classic colors in the same post... that's harsh.
I actually like some of the new colors. I haven't checked the specs but if they're simply solid, traditional Gibsons I'd much rather have that than some of the "innovations" they've come up with. Like the Firebird X. Or the automatic tuners.
If they can improve QC and deliver high quality guitars like they used to it's thumbs up from me.

i really don't care for the first 4 - far too feminine for what looks to me like a "masculine" body shape, if such a thing exists.

What's the big deal? It's not like they're staking their entire year on these few guitars... they have other new offerings out and in the works. How nitpicky it is to single out the color options of an obviously specifically targeted model. They are not going after the usual loyal Gibson buyers here, seems like an attempt to be a little diverse... god forbid.
Hey, these seem to be limited run instruments offered exclusively through Chicago Music Exchange... not the "new SG line".
Damn jd, you are a tough cookie! Why so critical anyway? Whether these colors are cool or not is purely a matter of preference.

It's nice to see Gibson offer an SG in some kind of color that hasn't been issued regularly for the past 5 decades; cherry, white, black, pelham blue, walnut - I mean, that's usually it.
For basses, that Epiphone EB-3 with the maple board is a great addition, you never see maple boards on Gibsonesque guitars. And that RD is cool, but for $1600 you could buy a vintage RD with the Moog circuit.
