I think this thing is hilarious. It's essentially a by Fender copy of an Ibanez copy (ATK) of a Music Man Stingray which was designed by Leo Fender. Humor by design.

I mean, sure there are a few mods, but Modern?

What, a high mass badass clone bridge and an unnecessary antique looking pickguard aren't modern?

Intriguing for sure. I liked the sound of it in the video demo on Fender's site. For comparison (and because I'm skeptical of manufacturer demos), I also checked out the MP Jazz demo, and that one sounded on video like it did to me in the store (i.e., like garbage), so I trust that the Dimension demo is pretty true-to-life.

I dig the triple-bucker, and the TR wheel is a really cool idea. But that pickguard ... Fugly. Maybe I'll take in in Charcoal for $250 in a year ... This could be a future MF Stupid Deal of the Day.

this is just a watered down version of a stingray, If i want that type of tone, and dont have allot of money, I would buy the Ibanez atk, just sayin!

I really like this. I already have my P and I'm not a fender jazz fan so I really like this. I may grab one of these eventually. Wish they made it in another color besides white with a maple neck. Gotta have that maple neck.

I have to applaud Fender for trying something different. I prefer them doing something new than another variation on a Precision or Jazz. I probably wouldn't use it due to the pup location (not a big fan of StingRays, either, or Ibanez ATK). Also have to laugh at the "blatant rip off"/"It's just a _____ copy!" comments, because, you know, nobody has EVER copied Fender...

As far as the pickguard, well it looks to me a lot like the 70's Tele guard, and I don't think it looks terrible to be honest. My only complaint is the lack of a tone knob, but that's a fairly simple remedy.

The fact that you can get white with a mable board but not black is a deal breaker to me. Otherwise I would be interested.

Not a fan of the pick guard but overall I like the looks of it. I would prefer it with no pick guard and a stingray-esque control plate.
