That's part of my quandary, iagtrplyr, the control-freak in me dunno what to do about the Vox's clean DO! ... ... ... I admire your dedication to science education, iago. I helped a grandson do the non-Newtonian fluid science project a few years ago. NOT ONCE did I consider using one my amps like that!!! The g-son got his dad to setup a cheapo radio speaker, instead, ... ended up with a super cool video with the soundtrack of "She Blinded Me With Science" and his zip-locked bags of the "Alien Juice" ("ooblek" didn't sound sciency enough) were the hit, literally, of the Science Fair. The kids could feel the fluidity, then karate chop them to feel the solidity. No mess! I was amazed at the strength of the bags. ... ... ...

Though I cannot precisely recall, I was either conflating His (at that time) Excellency to the character in Shakespeare's "Othello", or ... ...

Still gigging the TBird/R100 almost every weekend. For example, this past, played the TBird/R100 Friday night at a(early)St. Patrick's Day dinner/dance; played the Martin and Artley* Saturday night at a restaurant /lounge gig.


*Tenor sax and flute.

Way to keep it rockin', GP! And the fact that you can get out the sax or flute says a lot about your musicianship.

The Pelham Blue one would make me happy, actually they all would.

Got to see one up close in the hands of its namesake at a Hot Tuna gig in Burlington, Vermont 2009 the Higher Ground Ballroom. We got there early, got a drink, and grabbed a couple of seats up front. Great show- Jack played the gold Epiphone JC through Aguilar kit- Tonehammer into a 12”? …I remember it was early December and quite…breathtakingly cold

Well, you know about cold out there in I-Oway! Hope your nine week final approach goes well-

Hey Tele!

Yep, it's the gold top bass; the only one offered we southpaws. Personally, it's one of my faves since I'm a sucker for a Les Paul. His cherry red number is beautiful and you can't go wrong with the Pelham Blue model either. They're back-ordered for the next few months, however, and the way I am about changing my mind I'll probably be on to something else by then. I just think it's a cool bass, especially how it involves such a great player like Jack.

We hit 50 degrees today and are aiming for the 60s by Wednesday! The ground is beginning to thaw as well. It's great to be here in the Midwest this time of year. No bugs, clean air, and you can still wear a sweatshirt and feel comfortable.

I was just writing SoulReflection that #2 and I are gonna go see the Alan Parsons Project next month in the Quad Cities. I've been a fan since "Tales of Mystery and Imagination" and am looking forward to sitting with the other retirees reliving some great music. So yeah, the spring looks to be good with the end of May in our sights. Finished a couple of more songs this past week and am excited about how those turned out.

So you think we need a Rocket Bass Club, eh?
