I assume they’ll charge tax and shipping on top of that. Remind them it doesn’t have a case and see if they’ll take $1500 total out the door including tax and shipping. If not, see if they’ll throw in an after market case or gig bag (that fits it) for free. If not, buy it anyway, it’s a decent price if it’s a decent player.

I'm not making fun, brother. I'm not crazy about heat either. Didn't like it working construction and much later, I'm less a fan now. If I'm doing something outside and it gets too hot (with the great humidity we have) and I'm done.
I pushed the manager as far as he would go. Strangely, I asked about cases as part of the deal and he said the only case they carry for Tbirds was a Roadrunner and it was 1/2” too short. Let’s see what it looks like when it shows up. If any issues besides the small rub on the headstock, I’ll be working them on more discounts.
You got him down $200. And like you said you’re using their money. GC shipping is negligible. I think you did well, assuming it checks out when it arrives.

See, if you lived here, (Washington) you'd be happy, it stays reasonable in the Summer and there's really low humidity, so much so, that when it does happen it's almost novel.
You'd love the southeastern part of the state, it's simply beautiful. Small towns, rolling hills.
Not that it matters, but I agree and think it will be a good deal if the bass is satisfactory. If I did the math right in my head on the free money payments, it will take GC 13 yrs to get all their money.
There are days as you describe where I think a nice cold beer sure would hit the spot more than anything else for the reason you mentioned.

Afaik, (model year) 2013 was the first year for the CP, and seems to be the only year with the same pickup spacing as the VP, very similar to the original T-birds.
edit: for some reason, when I try to post the website as a link, TB breaks it- so take out the space? and it works.....
My classic pro dates to Sept '12 according to that link.
Pickup spacing from 12th fret to middle of pickup is 10 15/16 and 14 7/16.
Dont know if that is '13 spacing or what.

Back when 2 and 3 transistors were the norm for transistor radios, I bought one of my sisters a 7 transistor radio for Christmas. It had wimpy reception and ate batteries like crazy.
