Thunderbird Club

That would look especially nice with a chrome pickguard
I was thinking “clear” with a bright T-Bird logo...looking at possibly going back to the black h/w and original (black plastic cased) buckers as well as black tapes....want to “modernize” one of my NRs as I’m also looking at relic’ing my BaCH....

Amp head vs cab wattage question. I just bought a used SWR Goliath 410 from GC and realized that it's rated at 400W and 8 ohms. My GK MB500 pushes about 350W at 8 ohms. This is ok? I thought the Goliath had more power. The later ones do.
It'll be fine. I'll bet anyway, I'd go with it.

I have a clear pg for my reverse tbird but because the wings are black it doesn't look right.

This pic was taken when I first started rebuilding it.

Yeah, that'd definitely look cool and preserve the 'burst.:cool:

Just bumping a question I had a couple of days ago back to the top. Didn't get any answers on the last go round in this fast moving thread. Still looking for insight.

From Gibson, just the Studio model, methinks you could look at a Lull :)

The studio model was the only one to my knowledge as well.
Ran across this ad in Guitar Center...

No mention of it being a studio model and considering the condition it's in it seemed priced pretty high for a studio V. I was able to zoom in on one of the pics and confirm no raised center, so it's a studio but I've never seen one in heritage cherry, I thought they were all black. Oh well, continuing to keep my powder dry for an Eppi NR VP release.

Active pickup Epiphone Pro V models were raised in the middle. If you remove the electronics, get it painted with nitro, and replace the electronics with Thunderbird electronics, you would have about the equivalent of a Gibson five string with a raised center block. For probably about the same price as one would cost if Gibson made it. About being the important word here.

I have never played a fiver and never had much urge to play one. If I was going to go for one, it would probably be a 2013 or 2014 EB anyway. For some reason, a Thunderbird fiver just doesn't seem right.

I was going to say something like this if no one else did! Although I wasn't going to suggest covering that luscious wood with paint of any sort.
