I figured I'd just call the custom shop or something but in hindsight they probably don't deal with amps. Seems like the better approach as averse to swapping mine with the knobs off my kids' GTX lol.

Anybody know if the pot knobs on the rumbles are replacable? The new ones on the GTX line look super nice and I kinda want em on my 800.

You and me both buddy lol. Now I gotta fantasize about turning those two sideways over a 1x15 on wheels for a couple years. The slightly older GT40 would have looked super sweet on top, all low-profile with the black grill, but the GTX has stereo outs to the board and the GT40s didn't.

If the bass player buys the PA speakers they become powered cabs by default.

It's crossed my mind lol. The effects send and return on the larger amps open up a lot of options. I'd probably advise an 800HD as the second amp though since you already get the modeling from the stage and it's 2ohm so you get a fourth cab on that side for the drummer to sit on.

Good math. Definitely run the DI from the master amp. Only problem I could foresee is the low gain needed to not overdrive the second amp's preamp not providing a strong signal to the board. Sounds like a balancing act to me. My bass is awful hot anyways. Doubt I'd be able to swing a rig like...

Probably just have to be careful how much preamp gain you give the master amp so the signal isn't way hot when it gets to the slave amp's preamp.

Studio and Stage have both a pre and post xlr out and can be configured for stereo post. Master volume does not effect the signal on either as is the case with earlier models. The signal should be balanced line level. If it's too hot the mix man probably has it plugged into a mic preamp. I've...

Unplug it and then turn the power switch to ON for a while with it unplugged. Should cycle any charge out of the capacitors. That's usually the first thing I try with any device before I start taking screws out. Works wonders on flat screen tvs. Like Eats said, it's hard to light your gourd up...
