Anything below 800 watts and a 4x10 is insufficient for any music in any venue ... with MAYBE an exception for the bedroom in your apartment where 500 watts may get you by. As long as it's still a 4x10. And front ported.

The difference between the sound of an ash bodied P bass clone and a walnut bodied P bass clone is so glaring that even the people at the bar next door will turn to look when you swap basses.

Please help me decide what bass I should buy. I really have no idea what to buy after spending entire days in music stores playing every brand available. Obviously having the bass in my hands and the tonal offerings flowing through my ears is never going to help me make up my mind, I really cant figure it out based on my experiences so since I cant think for myself I entrust the entire TalkBass forum to decide what bass I should buy..................................
