im writing songs and recording stuff by myself more for fun than anything really,but i love playing live.I was wondering if anyone here has ever used just backing tracks and performed solo? or is it too awkward to manage? cheers

my band got through the 2nd round of a local battle of the bands.it was based on the audience and bands buying a drink 1 drink=1 vote,so we had a good crowd drinking and we were drinking ourselves.1st band had no crowd,but did quite well from just regular people voting,2nd band were all young...

we sometimes gig in the local pub,i know the pub i know how loud/what tone fits my band in there.we enter a BOB get through the first round where he tells me im doing everything wrong ect next round i setup same as before he's singing my praises because my sound fits my band.anyone else had this?

so finally finished my homemade 2x15 cab.it has two Celestion BN15-300X 8 ohm speakers,no tweeter as the speakers are plenty bright,the cabs pretty big 1200mmx630mm and 550mm deep.Tried it out tonight at a gig sounds pretty good needs finishing thats a job got my day off. Link Removed

ive got a 1x15 bass cab i like overdrive distortion,my cab doesnt have an option too turn off the tweeter,would it be ok too just unhook it?

i flicked my kustom deepend head on yesterday and it blew a fuse.It came with a spare i changed it and it works fine. But i was wondering if it could be a sign of an underlying problem. Thoughts?

ive recently bought a kustom deepend 300hd head witha tube pre.i was wondering if changing the tube will affect the tone much? id like too add more gain and have a more agressive tone.

i have two of these speakers the 18inch sub and the 3way top Invalid Link Removed i got em cheap,but reading the manual it says not too connect them too a power amp only too their own brand amp,could this damage the speakers or is it just so you buy their brand amp? :help:

may seem stupid but if i connected two 8ohm speaker cabs too my amp from the speaker out using a y splitter would the amp see 4ohms?

im mildy confused about changing my PA setup,i wanna change the poweramp and add a monitor/monitors too the setup the two speakers are 8ohm and most amps i see are rated at 4ohm so would adding monitors make it a 2ohm load?this is what im worried about cheers.:confused:

my bands singer is really good,got a great voice but is really awkward about learning songs an uses the lyrics alot.so me an the drummer learned blackmetal by venom which i can sing and play.so during band practice im singing it an out of the corner of my eye i can see the singer smirking at me...
