I wouldn't say that ALL guitarists deserve the hate, but there are quite a few guitards who ruin it for the rest. This is unfortunate, I myself am a guitarist in my off time, and I know a lot of good people who are mislabeled.

Mine, right now, is headless. It's only hit me so far in the 6 string, octave up range, but I foresee more as soon as I stop being broke.

I've been blessed with youth, and an 8 1/2 lb Squier bass, but I feel for everyone who is carrying around the 13 lb jazz basses; they really do have extra "soul," it just weighs a ton. ;) Ben

I'm fairly new to vinyl. I was introduced by my father's ever expanding collection (which ranges from classic rock, to jazz fusion, will all sorts of other styles thrown in) and the recently inherited stack of records that were my grandfather's, and I've set out to get some more vinyl-y goodness...

This is frightening; it was worse when I thought it was real, but it's still nightmare inducing now.

2 days, and no word from Carvin :(

Just did, some damage around one corner of the cab (and hopefully no more), so I think this is less Carvin's fault, more UPS's :mad:. What I did find seems very, very minor, and the horn remains the only serious problem.

New photo, with grille removed; I listened for air while the grille was removed and, luckily, I felt/heard none, so I'm pretty sure it's a cosmetic issue rather than catastrophic. I'll see what I can do with Carvin, though, just in case the problem becomes exacerbated, or if I find out...

I'll contact Carvin tomorrow afternoon, and see if I can work anything out; I'd love to just replace the horn myself, but if that's a no-go for warranty, I might have to compromise a little bit. Thanks for the help everyone (and the anecdotes about which instrument you bagged for playing bass...

Hey, everyone, I got this cab direct from carvin about ten days ago, in that time it hasn't been mistreated, or even moved much (my next gig is this weekend). I noticed that the assembly for the horn had broken at the left corner, it doesn't look like the horn itself is damaged, no hissing...

My mom has one, great little car. I had trouble driving my friends places when I borrowed it, the backseat is really tight; driving it, on the other hand, was a blast, and that let me disconnect from the fact that anyone in the backseat over 5'7" was probably hitting their head on the ceiling...

Rock basses are from China, not Korea. But I was wrong in the first place, as there are apparently Korean $$'s, and $$'s from a previous "Pro" line.

AFAIK All $$ basses are, and always have been made in Germany; only Streamers, the bolt on Thumb and non-$$ Corvettes have moved production.
