I use both, depending on the song, some require fingers, others require a pick, either way it is all good fun.

I'd have to say my least favourite tone from any bassist is the Tone that is usually used when they hit or 'slap' the string with the side of their thumb and then pull the string to get a 'pop' sound with one of their fingers, that tone is horrible everytime I hear it. :hiding:
