How Much Do You Usually Tip for services rendered?

:roflmao: I know, I know, and I'd include a social post or have a word with a supervisor about my awful experience -- tipping is just engrained in me because I'm uncontrollably sympathetic about dealing with customers, and minimum wage is trash. I haven't encountered anything that bad at all...

How Much Do You Usually Tip for services rendered?

I generally just tip 20% at bars and restaurants. 15% only for extraordinarily bad behaviour (racist, sexist, etc.) and for expensive services (medium/large tattoos). The industry is thankless, the servers do not get paid enough and if I can't afford at least 20%, I shouldn't be buying the services.

+100000 to all the responses telling you to go slow over the passage several times (~10 times) without making a mistake. Then, go back a bar and play through the passage several more times; after that, add a bar after the passage; after that, play it faster; etc. It's not easy to unlearn and...

    Leap of faith- Fender Mustang

Dunno about popular, but I've always just used longscale Fender flats and never worried about winding the non-silk bit of the string. Didn't realise it was an issue until TalkBass, honestly. Edit: Also, congrats on the new purchase! I hope your shortscale experience is better this time around.

    Fender Mustang Club

For the past few months, Fender's redirected me to the generic international site (I used to be able to click on the US site without being redirected). The Mustang PJ seems to be on the country-specific sites (I checked the U.K., France and Luxembourg) but not the 'international' one, and Canada...

Who's your "I get it, but majority of people dont" artist?

Sarah McLachlan, specifically her first three albums, comes to mind. No one in my current music circles really "gets" how she was my first songwriter role model, now that I play in completely disparate genres. And, no matter where I am on my musical journey, as soon as I re-listen to Touch...

Advice for Transitioning to a Rock Band

The word 'unlearn' nearly made me panic. Don't unlearn anything! You have a huge advantage, i.e. knowing theory, that allows you to know how to break it. Otherwise, I agree with the above. Since you've been studying music for a while, I assume you know how to listen... so listen a lot and...

    Lyrics vs gender

The Canadian national anthem situation is... maybe different from some cover band singer feeling, for whatever reason, uncomfortable about the way a song's lyrics are gendered. The anthem was originally written in French, and we should probably sing that version exclusively instead. Regendering...

The sustain was a bit longer, the tone was a bit sweeter (I don't really know how else to explain it - maybe it's a byproduct of the sustain :)).
