Some quick pics before it goes away again for paint...
Upon closer inspection, I'm back up in the air about the finish. With it being the Prototype, there's a few measurement marks and nicks, so I might just go towards a solid finish.... still deciding. The birdseye on the neck is pretty great by the way.

Wow Randy!!! SWEET!!! GO 'scotchy - even with the marks etc!!! that grain is WAY too nice to cover up!!!

Tried searching, now its time to ask the group.

I recently got a dj5 and am looking for a hard / soft shell case. Just wondering if theres any consensus on who makes a good case for Laklands. Thanks!

Pickguards are to Jeannies, as cases are to X.

first choice - order one from Lakland.

second choice - I like the SKB countoured cases (the ones they make for F$#*^R)......my DJ5 fit right in it!!!

I say the trans butterscotch. It's deep enough to cover up some blems, but transparent enough to see the grain. Right on, in my opinion. Though, Doug may kill you.
